All right
here it goes. At the end of last year, I
gave myself the objective of posting one blog post a month for the year of
2019. I am happy to report, so far so
good. But, change of plans. As I work towards my goal of supporting women
in their individual journeys through self-care, self-empowerment, self-knowledge
and self-love I’m cognizant of the fact that it’s important for me to walk the
talk. Now, for the past three weeks I
have been stuck. Stuck in inertia and
stuck in self-doubt.
I have been
feeling discouraged and quite frankly feeling a little sorry for myself. Don’t get me wrong, I think we have the right
to have these types of episodes. They
will come up. But, one thing I’ve
learned is that staying in this space for too long is a clear and sure path to
nowhere. So last night I made the
decision to set a clear plan for myself that includes daily goals that are
aligned with what I want to accomplish in the next few months. It is an 84-day plan. Why 84 days?
I find that setting timelines around certain events helps motivate
me. In 84 days, I will be giving a talk
at the Fearless Women’s Summit here in Barrie.
I see these next 12 weeks as an opportunity for self-care, reflection
and quite frankly experimentation.
What
happens when I set clear action steps around specific goals and hold myself
accountable by blogging about the experience daily for 84 days? YIKES!!!
So ready or
not, here are my daily action steps, for the next 84 days.
1. Improving my nutrition by cutting
out unhealthy carbs.
2. Walking one hour a day.
3. Journaling
my progress, challenges and successes on a regular basis.
4. One hour a day spent working on my coaching
model.
5. One hour a day spent working on my
workshop series.
6. One hour a day spent working on
marketing strategies.
7. One hour a day working on my talk
series.
Let’s see
how all this turns out!
Till tomorrow!
Joanne
